<p>I'm not sure what you're talking about, actually. The <a href="https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Tag:railway%3Dsubway">page on the wiki</a> says the tag can only be added to ways, and not nodes, areas or relations. I've never seen it used for stations.</p>
