<p>Well it's far more complicated than that because not every language will be <code>A to B</code> and then what do you do if <code>to</code> or equivalent appears in one of the places.</p>

<p>Basically this winds up requiring a natural language parser for each different locale.</p>

<p>Given that nominatim hasn't solved the query parsing problem yet I doubt we will be doing so any time soon in the rails code.</p>
