<p>I guess we could, but I doubt it would be useful. Since for the mobile sign-in we need a token to present to the website, so it can ask for user details from maps.me, and OpenID doesn't do tokens. Most, if not all, popular websites have abandoned their OpenID services, so I'm not sure anybody should set up one.</p>
