Hi All,
I was also brought here by email. I feel a bit confused after I read description and looked at the pull-request. It was mentioning to let people login with their Facebook/Google account, though the changes are done for Maps.me account. It looks quite different than other providers, for other providers you can register on website and other providers exist for other services than OSM. One of the main difference that people use OAuth to register on OSM website itself and here they will register only in Maps.me and will stay there.
Technically, it already happens, so having an extra OAuth provider should not impact at all, the only main concern whether you could trust this provider i.e. you can reach a real person (communicate with him).

I couldn't say if it's bad or good, it is different.
