<p>In a portrait mode utility panes (search, history etc) take about 50% of the vertical space under the OpenStreetMap banner.</p>
<p>In the landscape mode these panes take about 60% of the horizontal space under the banner.</p>
<p>In both cases this is IMHO excessive leaving very little space for viewing and navigating the map. Especially that, unlike in the desktop version, the mobile UI cannot be zoomed out. The relative sizes also seem to be resolution/screen size independent (in my limited testing).</p>
