A) Because they don't know the rails migration exists, or where (with a google search, you land on the structure.sql on github), neither do I (now just the where)<br>
B) because the rails package manager is atrocious, and if you don't manage versions carefully, it breaks or creates hours of joy, so using the structure.sql is a lot easier, especially for portation to another rdbms.</p>
