<p>We removed <code>users.nearby</code> in <a class="issue-link js-issue-link" data-error-text="Failed to load issue title" data-id="525827012" data-permission-text="Issue title is private" data-url="https://github.com/openstreetmap/openstreetmap-website/issues/2439" data-hovercard-type="pull_request" data-hovercard-url="/openstreetmap/openstreetmap-website/pull/2439/hovercard?comment_id=587572753&comment_type=issue_comment" href="https://github.com/openstreetmap/openstreetmap-website/pull/2439#issuecomment-587572753">#2439 (comment)</a>, but this new API DB schema breaks the write capability of Osmosis. I opened a PR on Osmosis in <a class="issue-link js-issue-link" data-error-text="Failed to load issue title" data-id="567036807" data-permission-text="Issue title is private" data-url="https://github.com/openstreetmap/osmosis/issues/54" data-hovercard-type="pull_request" data-hovercard-url="/openstreetmap/osmosis/pull/54/hovercard" href="https://github.com/openstreetmap/osmosis/pull/54">openstreetmap/osmosis#54</a>, where <a class="user-mention" data-hovercard-type="user" data-hovercard-url="/users/simonpoole/hovercard" data-octo-click="hovercard-link-click" data-octo-dimensions="link_type:self" href="https://github.com/simonpoole">@simonpoole</a> pointed out that Osmosis no longer maintained. <a class="user-mention" data-hovercard-type="user" data-hovercard-url="/users/mmd-osm/hovercard" data-octo-click="hovercard-link-click" data-octo-dimensions="link_type:self" href="https://github.com/mmd-osm">@mmd-osm</a> adds that some other process could be developed to populate an API DB, but there’s no one true path at this time.</p>
