<p>So we would need two pre-requisites for this:</p>
<ul>
<li>Either support in Leaflet, or moving away from Leaflet to another map library that supports lowzoom globe views.</li>
<li>Support for lowzoom globe views on every map layer, or a mechanism to switch back and forward depending on whether the layer supports it.</li>
</ul>
<p>Both of these are significant challenges! And neither of them are within the remit of this development team.</p>
<p>So while I support your feature request, until at least the first pre-requisite is solved, there's nothing that can be done here. So as such, I'm going to close this issue.</p>
