<p>First I appreciate that a lot of work went into this pull request, both in writing the omni-auth plugin, and also in all the discussions here.</p>
<p>I'm also aware that OSMF/OWG having an "<a href="https://github.com/openstreetmap/operations/issues/162" data-hovercard-type="issue" data-hovercard-url="/openstreetmap/operations/issues/162/hovercard">identity provider policy</a>" was identified as a way forward, and Ilya again worked on that, but that issue still remains unresolved.</p>
<p>In the meantime, this PR has bit-rotted, and now no longer merges, and needs to be reworked to move from fixtures to factories. However, if anyone is interested in resurrecting this task in the form of a new PR, I would strongly suggest that agreement is first reached on the principle of adding maps.me as an identity provider, before proposing the new code to implement it.</p>
