<p dir="auto">I'm not sure if you could compare a list of 17 local chapters with pulling in large amounts of code using the old "vendoring" approach. Besides the occasional wiki updates, we're also updating translations in pull requests that end up with plenty of " <em>Localisation updates from https://translatewiki.net.</em>" commits. This isn't exactly the same use case, still somewhat related to be considered as another data point.</p>
<p dir="auto">We haven't seen any unit tests for this pull request yet, but my impression is that is all adding complexity for data which isn't changing frequently by any means. My concern is that this adds long term maintenance burden. I'm happy to be proven wrong here, though. :)</p>
