<p dir="auto">I had an <em>extremely</em> quick look to the meaning of the various 'relation'-values. IMHO, using <code class="notranslate">rel="me noopener nofollow noreferrer"</code> would be fine, even though the combination of <code class="notranslate">me</code> and <code class="notranslate">nofollow</code> seem a bit contradictory. The <code class="notranslate">nofollow</code> signals that <em>OpenStreetMap.org does not endorse the link</em> while the <code class="notranslate">me</code> signals that <em>this user has this mastodon account</em> (but I'm not an expert in these matters. But maybe I should add a few of those tags on user-generated links in MapComplete too).</p>
<p dir="auto">I'm not familiar with Ruby; but it seems that <a href="https://github.com/rgrove/sanitize#custom-configuration">this</a> library is used for sanitation, which uses a whitelist of what is allowed. As <code class="notranslate">rel</code>-tags are <em>not</em> in this configuration; they are dropped before adding the <code class="notranslate">noreferer nofollow noopener</code> again.</p>
<p dir="auto">I do think that adding <code class="notranslate">:attributes => {"a" => {"rel" => "me"} }</code> might just work to keep the <code class="notranslate">rel=me</code> intact.</p>
