<p dir="auto">Well your position seems to be that development should be constrained by the current operational environment rather than that the operational environment should be adjusted to support what the code requires.</p>
<p dir="auto">Of course the reality probably lies somewhere between the two but we wouldn't want people to walk away without talking to us just because the current setup doesn't support what they want to do.</p>
<p dir="auto">There is also of course the question of other users of this code base - while openstreetmap.org is the primary user it's certainly not the only one.</p>
