<p dir="auto">Thanks <a class="user-mention notranslate" data-hovercard-type="user" data-hovercard-url="/users/SomeoneElseOSM/hovercard" data-octo-click="hovercard-link-click" data-octo-dimensions="link_type:self" href="https://github.com/SomeoneElseOSM">@SomeoneElseOSM</a> , that's helpful. I had also had a think about how the changeset replication feed behaves, but I'm not super-familiar with that since I haven't used it for anything before. My conclusion was that if a user is deleted before their (final) changesets appear in the feed, then it will still work fine just with a different username - so very similar to what you have described above. And since users can rename themselves (and sometimes nothing to do with vandalism or account deletion) I think that there's no error condition there.</p>
