<p dir="auto">In particular for node, way and note, most of the savings can already be achieved by replacing <code class="notranslate">www.openstreetmap.org</code> by <code class="notranslate">osm.org</code>. Your proposal would reduce the length by another 10-15%. For your node example, that's 28 chars instead of 32.</p>
<p dir="auto">Both "changeset" and "relation" are both fairly long as a string. At least for "relation", a shorter alias "rel" might be something we could discuss.</p>
