<p dir="auto">GPL is not the best-suited license for images or other kinds of artwork. It was designed for software. A similar situation is that CC-BY is inappropriate for data, like when OSM switched to ODbL.</p>
<p dir="auto">In many open-source projects, code is licensed under one license, documentation under another, and artwork under another.</p>
<p dir="auto">Can the license for these files be changed to something more suitable for artwork and derivatives?</p>
