<p dir="auto">With the publication of the <a href="https://github.com/openstreetmap/software-roadmap">Core Software Roadmap</a> (<a href="https://community.openstreetmap.org/t/core-software-roadmap/138102" rel="nofollow">announcement</a>), perhaps we should consider including a link to it in our contribution guidelines.</p>
<p dir="auto">I am doing exactly that here, in addition to expanding with additional wording to help manage the expectations of potential contributors.</p>
