<p dir="auto">So the intention was that a confirmed use was exempt from auto-suspension which was originally implemented by only considering users in state <code class="notranslate">active</code>.</p>
<p dir="auto">When <a class="user-mention notranslate" data-hovercard-type="user" data-hovercard-url="/users/gravitystorm/hovercard" data-octo-click="hovercard-link-click" data-octo-dimensions="link_type:self" href="https://github.com/gravitystorm">@gravitystorm</a> introduced the aasm state machine in <a class="commit-link" data-hovercard-type="commit" data-hovercard-url="https://github.com/openstreetmap/openstreetmap-website/commit/1a11c4dc191d93b18fcf5aa917448c8cd6d2556b/hovercard" href="https://github.com/openstreetmap/openstreetmap-website/commit/1a11c4dc191d93b18fcf5aa917448c8cd6d2556b"><tt>1a11c4d</tt></a> he changed that to use <code class="notranslate">may_suspend?</code> relying on the fact that the state machine didn't allow the transition from confirmed to suspended.</p>
