This process to me, from here, seems to be a series of own goals.<br><br>The timing decision now appears to be made on IRC, after discussion being initially directed to this list. We're going to be open once again to criticism that this was decided by a handful of people out of sight of the community, whether or not that is case.<br>
<br>And the April 1 date may always look like OSMF trying to maintain a commitment, because I haven't seen any reasoning based on the best interest of the wider project to schedule large periods of downtime in just 4 days time.<br>
