<p style="margin-bottom: 0cm; line-height: 100%">The three of us will be involved in the Academic Track (announcements to follow very soon) at SOTM 2018 in Milan. We feel that this could provide a very good starting point for meetings, discussions and collaborations
between the academic/scientific community and the OSM community.</p>

<p style="margin-bottom: 0cm; line-height: 100%">As we've outlined this Science list can be a forum to discuss/collaborate on the following:</p>

<p style="margin-bottom: 0cm; line-height: 100%">- pitch or propose problems and challenges, based on OSM, to the academic community (and vice-versa)</p>
<p style="margin-bottom: 0cm; line-height: 100%">- talk about recent scientific research on OSM</p>
<p style="margin-bottom: 0cm; line-height: 100%">- develop the OSM research agenda</p>
<p style="margin-bottom: 0cm; line-height: 100%">- get feedback and support on your planned OSM surveys (BEFORE they are undertaken)</p>
<p style="margin-bottom: 0cm; line-height: 100%">- get feedback on your scientific plans and preliminary results from an interested subset of OSM community members</p>
<p style="margin-bottom: 0cm; line-height: 100%">- look to develop collaborations, meetings etch (such as SOTM 2018),</p>
