One of my primary research interests is in the development of data quality assessment methodologies for OSM in order to help both OSM contributors and researchers identify quality issues and subsequently address them. I am also very interested in how government agencies (such as mapping agencies) can use OSM and how OSM and these agencies can collaborate together [0]. An almost complete list of publications is available on my academic homepage [6] with a similar list compiled by Google Scholar [7]. In addition to this I use OSM data as the primary spatial data source for my teaching in both undergraduate and postgraduate modules. In terms of meeting organisation I a member of the Irish OSGeo Local Chapter [8] and have been involved as a member of the organisation team for an annual VGI related workshop at the annual AGILE GIS conference [9]. Recently I was delighted to be the host of the launch of the OSM Ireland Company and Chapter event at our University [10]</div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">Editorial experience</div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">I am a peer-reviewer for a number of leading journals in the domain of geospatial science and GIS. I was a member of the Scientific Committee for the Academic Track at SOTM 2018 in Milan [4]. At SOTM 2018 itself I was involved in the organisation of the Academic Track day. I was one of the editors of the first ever book which was published showcasing OSM as a topic of academic research in its own right [5]</div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">Participation in State of the Map 2019</div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">It is my intention to attend the entire SOTM 2019 conference. </div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">Links:</div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">[0]<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span><a href="http://www.cs.nuim.ie/~pmooney/eurosdr2017/" class="">http://www.cs.nuim.ie/~pmooney/eurosdr2017/</a></div><div class="">[1]<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span><a href="http://explore.tandfonline.com/cfp/est/tgis-cfp-geospatial-data-2q2017" class="">http://explore.tandfonline.com/cfp/est/tgis-cfp-geospatial-data-2q2017</a></div><div class="">[2]<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span><a href="https://www.mdpi.com/journal/ijgi/special_issues/VGI-ALIVE" class="">https://www.mdpi.com/journal/ijgi/special_issues/VGI-ALIVE</a></div><div class="">[3]<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span><a href="https://www.mdpi.com/journal/ijgi/special_issues/Geospatial_Big_Data_Urban_Studies" class="">https://www.mdpi.com/journal/ijgi/special_issues/Geospatial_Big_Data_Urban_Studies</a></div><div class="">[4]<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span><a href="https://2018.stateofthemap.org/academictrack/" class="">https://2018.stateofthemap.org/academictrack/</a></div><div class="">[5]<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span><a href="https://www.springer.com/gp/book/9783319142791" class="">https://www.springer.com/gp/book/9783319142791</a></div><div class="">[6]<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span><a href="http://www.cs.nuim.ie/~pmooney/" class="">http://www.cs.nuim.ie/~pmooney/</a></div><div class="">[7]<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span><a href="https://scholar.google.com/citations?user=wVs_9twAAAAJ&hl=en" class="">https://scholar.google.com/citations?user=wVs_9twAAAAJ&hl=en</a></div><div class="">[8]<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span><a href="https://wiki.osgeo.org/wiki/Ireland/Symposium2018" class="">https://wiki.osgeo.org/wiki/Ireland/Symposium2018</a></div><div class="">[9]<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span><a href="http://www.cs.nuim.ie/~pmooney/vgi-alive2018/" class="">http://www.cs.nuim.ie/~pmooney/vgi-alive2018/</a></div><div class="">[10]<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span><a href="https://www.openstreetmap.ie/events/osm-company-and-chapter-launch/" class="">https://www.openstreetmap.ie/events/osm-company-and-chapter-launch/</a></div><div class=""><br class=""></div><br class=""><p style="margin-top: 0px;
