I have another proposal : replace "soccer" which is unknown in many parts of the world (not for Richard and John, that's clear) by "association_football" and deprecate "football". Then we use the official name. I could change the wiki : 30 sec., change the rendering rule in osmarender : 1 mn, run a script renaming the tag "soccer" in the db and adding a fixme in "football" : 5 mn to write it and tomorrow everything is clear. That would make everyone happy excepted perhaps north americans. 6.5 mn is less time than I spent to follow this thread.<br>
