I believe some mappers also use surface=ground (myself
included in the past) which is a bit problematic because you
have to know what kind of ground there is in order to make use
of the information...<br>

Where the 'ground' varies frequently from sand, dirt, rock, grass it
may be a reasonable description? <br>
I simply label it 'unpaved'. There would be few places that I'd
lable with a distinct unpaved value due to the variations present. <br>
