<p>I know of one minefield area that is mapped the same way
westerners map speed cameras. I think that is a good solution as
it independent of the map. <br>

<p>People have proposed mapping dangerous favelas.. and have been
turned away by others here. "Not for OSM", "subjective" etc etc. <br>
</p>
<p>So I think that the same approach could be used there too. <br>
