    <p>Aahahhahahh! :-) Nice, and I had quite a similar reaction when I

      first heard about it (by an English gentleman): <i>"cental" </i>from

      the Latin "centum" (one hundred), because the US short ton is 4

      hundredweight of 100 lb, while the long ton is 112 lb 8 stones).</p>
