The point is that when you invent a new value for surface a lot of<br>
consumers will assume it to be some kind of bad/worse surface and<br>
reduce the average speed to expect.<br>

I'd rather propose surface=asphalt asphalt=whisper or the like.<br>
<br>
asphalt:type would also be okay with me. There are more likely 100s of types<br>
of asphalt.<br>
