    <p>voting has started for street_side parking:

    <p>We propose to introduce "street_side" as a new value for

      parking=* and parking:lane=*. It is intended for parking

      areas/bays, which are directly adjacent to the carriageway of a

      road (but not lane parking on the carriageway) and can be reached

      directly from the roadway without having to use an access way. If

      approved, this tagging could resolve some existing ambiguities in

      the mapping of such parking facilities (see proposal).<br>
