Because there were an input in the wiki, I would like to display
it here.

In some areas (mainly Germany, but also other european countries
and some nodes non-european) there are the use of
"post_office=yes" to discribe post offices in normal shops etc.
Likewise this were used like the wiki (only in german: https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/DE:Key:post_office
) for full-range-post office-counter.... But it is also used for
parcel picup and others.

I could imagine to combine my proposal to this use. So e.g. clear
separation of the brands etc. like in my proposal, but
using "post_office=*" (I would prefere the brands instead
of yes).

For all, who disagree with using "post" for this ->
when you want to display only the state-owned postal
service - I could noted as addittional section in the
wiki.

I think, with this suggestion - all sides could be happy`?
