<div>Hi,<br>

<div>I have question regarding how to map fords when the road
is crossing a waterway large enough to be mapped with
riverbanks. <a

target="_blank" moz-do-not-send="true">https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Tag:ford%3Dyes</a>
explains to put the ford=yes tag on the road section between
the two riverbanks, but what about the intersection between
the road and the waterway: a common node for sure, but with
or without the ford=yes tag? Adding it seems duplicating the
tag on the road section, but I am not sure the navigation
tools will be able to consider this intersection as a ford
if it has no attribute about it. <br>

<p>I would tag the entire length of the road way that could be in
the water. I would not add it to the nodes. <br>
</p>
<p>The land vehicle navigation tools should consider the way tagged
as a ford. </p>
<p>Not certain of water vehicle navigation tools (if any) ??? </p>
