<div dir="auto">Farming includes crops and hay and cattle. It is strange to narrow that down just for OSM. </div><div dir="auto"><br></div><div dir="auto">Actual tagging and the (old) wiki reflects both views (descriptive). The altered wiki tries to implement one view (prescriptive).</div><div dir="auto"><br></div><div dir="auto">While I disagree with the view that farmland means crops, excluding hay and cattle, I think it's alright to use this as a localized tagging rule if it fits the country. </div><div dir="auto"><br></div><div dir="auto">Equally, it's alright for a country community to decide that all farmland is landuse=farmland, until a more specific specification is applied. Would be appropriate to add landuse=agriculture then.</div><div dir="auto"><br></div><div dir="auto">Personally, most of the time I would not specify the specific type of farming for every field in a mixed farming area.
