<body><p style="margin-top:0;margin-bottom:0;margin-left:0;margin-right:0;">Hi all,</p>
<br /><p style="margin-top:0;margin-bottom:0;margin-left:0;margin-right:0;">I am now working on improving navigation inside train stations, and encountered a case where I need to route over indoor=area. I have submitted a pull request into OpenTripPlanner <a href="https://github.com/opentripplanner/OpenTripPlanner/pull/6119">https://github.com/opentripplanner/OpenTripPlanner/pull/6119</a> , but a reviewer has pointed me potential problems in the use of this tag in shops and restaurants.</p>
<br /><p style="margin-top:0;margin-bottom:0;margin-left:0;margin-right:0;">I have checked the wiki again and the difference is between an area and a room is the former is not walled, while the latter is walled, and it says nothing about the access.</p>
<br /><p style="margin-top:0;margin-bottom:0;margin-left:0;margin-right:0;">In this case, how should I interpret the default access= value for indoor=area for routing purpose?</p>
<br /><p style="margin-top:0;margin-bottom:0;margin-left:0;margin-right:0;">Thanks,</p>
<p style="margin-top:0;margin-bottom:0;margin-left:0;margin-right:0;">Michael</p>
