Just a note of possible interest.

I create Garmin GPS nav maps (mkgmap) to not only get places, but
also check for missing or problem OSM data against observations.

Was recently heading for the Yeoval NSW showground caravan site
and I kept getting an unable to route warning. The GPS unit kept
dummy spitting and cancelling my destination request. It did
however find and route to the museum a few hundred metres up the
street. This kind of suggests it wasn't a way problem until closer
to the showground.

The reason was that the race track or bridal path inside the
showground was an orphaned highway object rather than a racetrack.
ie it didn't join the rest of the road network. It was nearest the
caravan site node.

Easily solved.
