As far as my knowledge goest the "bestuursvergadering" is not a formal
meeting, only the bestuurders are invited. it is nevertheless the 2nd
meeting in a year, next to the official "algemene vergadering". So for
some people it's 2 meetings per year, for others it's potentially only
one,since the "algemene vergadering" is not a meeting you must not attend,
you are invited when you are a "vast lid".

I know. As in our case, it are almost all the same people in both
meetings, we usually did them concequative: we did one, then "changed
our hat" and did the other.<br>

But I was just pointing out there are some formalities that have to be
done, reports have to be made up, archived, etc.<br>

If you look at how sportsclubs are organised, what you usually have is
that there are "local" clubs and there is one (or more) "federation" at
a higher level (regional, national, ...)<br>

People who join a sportsclub automatically also join the federation and
things like assurance is then done at the "higher" level.<br>

I think something simular would be an interesting reason to have a
"openstreetmap belgium vzw".<br>
<br>
It would allow people who want to organise a mapping-event contact that
vzw and "ask" to organise a mapping-event in that area. Officially, it
would then be the vzw who organises the mapping-event and who can take
care of assurence for the people who help out.<br>
(just like the assurance of the sportfederation covers the members of
the local sportsclubs).<br>
