Thanks for your fast en clear answer!
I'll look next time to JOSM. Thanks for the hint. Is it also
possible to add a breakpoint to a road? I highlighted a road, and
on point I would like to break the road there was no 'red dot'.
(In Potlatch I click on a red dot on a highlighted road, and click
on the siscor in the menu (right corner).

Indeed, you have to break up the roads. The original
road will become shorter and a new road will be created with the
same properties. Then you can add the new maxspeed restriction and
add the parts to the relevant route relations.

In Potlatch you would use x for that.

Once you start working more intensively with relations, it may be
a good idea to look into using JOSM. It's a lot easier to keep an
overview.

I was adding some bus routes and speed limits to OSM. I
edit OSM by using Potlatch 2. I've got both a problem with
adding max speeds as bus routes:

When I click on a roadway, the whole roadway is
highlighted. The problem is that not the whole roadway
have one speedlimit or is part of the busroute. What is
the best option to solve this? Cut the way in several
pieces? And when I need to cut the road in several
pieces... what about the tags? Will they inherit them from
the original road?

Thanks in advence,
