    I have raised a discussion at <a
href="http://lists.openstreetmap.org/pipermail/tagging/2012-August/011237.html">tagging/2012-August/011237.html</a>.<br>
    (if you can decode that stupid archive system).<br>
    depending on what it is:<br>
    <h2><span class="mw-headline" id="Similar_tags"></span></h2>
    <ul>
      <li><a href="http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Key:historic"
          title="Key:historic">historic</a>=<a
          href="http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Tag:historic%3Dwayside_cross"
          title="Tag:historic=wayside cross">wayside_cross</a></li>
      <li> historic=<a
          href="http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Tag:historic%3Dwayside_shrine">wayside_shrine</a></li>
    </ul>
    A chapel is:<br>
    <ul class="inner12">
      <li><b>amenity</b>: place_of_worship</li>
      <li><b>building</b>: chapel<br>
      </li>
      <li><b>name</b>: ...</li>
      <li><b>religion</b>: christian</li>
    </ul>
    church is church instead, of course.<br>
    <br>
    You could add denomination=* but what makes much sense in the US and
    somehow UK makes very little sense here.<br>
    <br>
    And in my case (very big shrine), I finally used<br>
    <ul class="inner12">
      <li><b>amenity</b>: place_of_worship</li>
      <li><b>historic</b>: wayside_shrine</li>
      <li><b>name</b>: potale du Christ</li>
      <li><b>religion</b>: christian</li>
    </ul>
    Despite comments, I used amenity because the people consider it as
    their poor man's chapel.  And to those saying that I shouldn't use
    "potale" (something they often say) I replied that it's the way the
    people call it <br>
    (and I thought in myself and in Walloon that using "du Christ" as a
    name ... ;-)<br>
    <br>
    Cordialement,<br>
