Afterthought: that application already exists. It's called
OpenStreeBugs.<br>
(Even the name is appropriate for reporting holes in the streets
;-))<br>

With slight modifications, it is even better than Fixmystreet:<br>
<ul>
<li>it does not embarrass the reporter with a street name just to
pin a notice</li>
<li>it avoids reporting the same problem dozens of times</li>
</ul>
<p>OSM proponents could show OpenStreetBug to the right persons as a
convincing starting point.<br>
