<br><div dir="ltr">I guess it really depends on the local situation. In my area (Mol) most towpaths (which is the correct English term for "jaagpad") have no traffic restrictions at all. Technically they are just "unclassified" roads. Maybe we should be creative and start tagging them as highway=towpath ? ... and add restrictions as indicated by traffic signs ?<span class="HOEnZb"></span></div>
</blockquote><div><br>The problem is that they wouldn't render anymore then. Just tag them as  the kind of way they are. path or unclassified generally. cycleway and service more as an exception.<br><br>That it was used before to tow the boats is quite obvious to deduce from their position along the canals.<br>
