<div dir="ltr">Hi,<div><br></div><div>A little bit about my projects:<br><div><br></div><div style>We are on our way back from SOTM. We have had lots of conversations here with people and specifically with Christian Quest about his great <a href="http://openstreetmap.fr">openstreetmap.fr</a> map style. It shows a lot more data like pedestrian crossings, shops, sports-related stuff and many many more things because it has 2 extra zoom levels. There are also specific icons for each bus/train operator and things like bpost :-)! He also explained some work he did on the <a href="http://openstreetmap.fr">openstreetmap.fr</a> website and i'm thinking about duplicating this work with our own style and multilingual support but maybe somebody already started with a website? Who owns <a href="http://osm.be">osm.be</a> btw?</div>
<div style><br></div><div style>Their website is just a simple drupal website, this should not be difficult to do and easy to manage. We would also be able to reuse some of his work. What I would also like to do is copy his mapstyle and use it for Belgium too and create dutch/french language versions. We can announce events and everybody can post news about their own projects if they want to. I would like a seperate website because the wiki is too complicated for new users and non-openstreetmappers just looking for some information but i think we already discussed this and most seemed to agree?</div>
<div style><br></div><div style>We (me and Jorieke V) are also still doing meetups and introducing new people to OpenStreetMap. The next meetup will be next week again in Gent (we might even do a mapping party!) but there will also be something in Antwerpen somewhere in the next couple of weeks I think. You are always welcome to do a meetup yourself if you have time. I also changed the name of our meetup group to OpenStreetMap Belgium: <a href="http://www.meetup.com/OpenStreetMap-Belgium/">http://www.meetup.com/OpenStreetMap-Belgium/</a></div>
<div style><br></div><div style>I'm also collaborating with frederik rodrigo from <a href="http://openstreetmap.fr">openstreetmap.fr</a> to get the new AGIV data into their system. This will allow us to easily merge the AGIV CRAB-data with what is there in OSM. Not sure yet how this will work so more news on this later.</div>
<div style><br></div><div style>There is also going to be a day of OpenStreetMap at FOSDEM together with OSM-FR again.</div><div style><br></div><div style>Best Regards,</div><div style><br></div><div style>Ben</div></div>
