<div dir="ltr">Hallo Nicolas,<div><br></div><div>thanks for calling me an experienced mapper :-) but for me experienced mappers are people like Polyglot, Eimai and zors1843, and others who are mapping for more than 2.5 years. Some of them might be quieter on the mailing list, but I'm sure they know more than I do.</div>
<div><br></div><div>Anyway, as Jo pointed out, your proposal is exactly what I did 2 weeks ago with Gilbert and Erik and last Friday for a larger group.</div><div><br></div><div>I have some rough plan in mind for the following session.</div>
<div><br></div><div>1) Configure JOSM for remote control</div><div>2) Use the demo site with the housenumbers in Lille to download data</div><div>3) Work with layers in JOSM -- load OSM data in another layer</div><div>4) layer switching and copy between layers.</div>
<div>5) merge AGIV data with OSM data</div><div>5.1 single house</div><div>5.1.1 there is no single house</div><div>5.1.2 there is a house</div><div>5.1.3 there is a badly shaped house (perhaps even splitted in parts that have to be merged)</div>
<div>5.2 two semi-detached houses</div><div>5.2.1 there is no building</div><div>5.2.2. there is a not splitted building</div><div>5.2.3 there is a splitted building</div><div>5.3 a terrace</div><div>5.3.1 there is no building</div>
<div>5.3.2 there is just a rectangle</div><div>5.3.2 there is a complex building outline</div><div>5.3.4 all individual houses are in OSM</div><div>5.4 there is a multipolygon (although I don't know yet how I would solve this one)</div>
<div>5.5. Keep the associatedStreet relation & addr:street tags correct</div><div> will depend on what the "import" tool makes</div><div>5.6 street name corrections and splitting street</div><div>5.7 other things you can add (crossings, give_ways, ...)</div>
<div>6) How to deal with the associatedStreet relation</div><div>-- assuming the import generates such a relation</div><div>6.1 how to add existing houses with numbers</div><div>6.2 deleting duplicates caused by 6.1</div>
<div>6.3 what if there is already an associatedStreet relation</div><div>7) Dealing with POIs</div><div>-- this really requires a consensus on how we want to map POIs</div><div>as an exercise for 7 look at the building <a href="http://osm.org/go/0EpDfLK8t--?m=">http://osm.org/go/0EpDfLK8t--?m=</a> with the hairdresser and the restaurant - consult AGIV <a href="http://ogc.beta.agiv.be/gdiviewer/?simple=false">http://ogc.beta.agiv.be/gdiviewer/?simple=false</a> and the websites of both POIs and tell me how I should map all of this.</div>
<div><br></div><div>I know this is too much for 1 session, but we have to go through all of this. and maybe even multiple times. Hopefully someone can take notes and write some nice documentation.</div><div>I also wonder whether there is something from the Urbis import that we can reuse.</div>
<div> I didn't follow any of the "courses" for that import, but I assume all of this was discussed there as well.</div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div><br></div></div><div class="gmail_extra"><br><br><div class="gmail_quote">

<br></div><div>Let's then start on a friday evening when you, a man of experience, can participate.<br><br>I propose that a calendar (= some date and some topics for each dates) be proposed in the wiki.<br><br></div>
<div>We can start maybe with something easy as a first topic, with something like : for the first 10 minutes or so you show the attendees how to do something special with JOSM . And you put a list of packages for JOSM that we should have installed and tested before the meeting. In such a way, it could be very productive.<br>
<br></div><div>What do you think about that ?</div></div><br></div><div class="gmail_extra">Regards,<br><br>NP<br></div></div>
