A Mac is a P(ersonnal)C(omputer) ;-)<br>
On Ubuntu et al, it's in /.josm/cache too, of course, it's about
the same Unix system as the Mac.<br>
Windows is, of course, different.<br>
Unix systems are great because they write error messages SYSERR
(Windows in an obscure "event log").<br>
If you type "josm" in a Terminal window, you see:<br>
<blockquote type="cite">ERROR: java.io.IOException: Failed to read
from
'<a class="moz-txt-link-freetext" href="http://josm.openstreetmap.de/josmfile?page=Presets/BENELUX&zip=1">http://josm.openstreetmap.de/josmfile?page=Presets/BENELUX&zip=1</a>'.
Server responded with status code 404.<br>
ERROR:
<a class="moz-txt-link-freetext" href="http://josm.openstreetmap.de/josmfile?page=Presets/BENELUX&zip=1">http://josm.openstreetmap.de/josmfile?page=Presets/BENELUX&zip=1</a><br>
</blockquote>
HTTP error 404 means "file or directory not found".<br>
Hence, the reason is most probably not the contents of the file <br>
In fact, it's the same error as when you click here:<br>
<a
href="http://josm.openstreetmap.de/josmfile?page=Presets/BENELUX&zip=1">http://josm.openstreetmap.de/josmfile?page=Presets/BENELUX&zip=1</a><br>
If you change the config to<br>
<a
href="ERROR:%20%3Chtml%3EUnable%20to%20parse%20tagging%20preset%20source:%20http://josm.openstreetmap.de/wiki/Presets/BENELUX.%20Do%20you%20really%20want%20to%20use%20it?%3Cbr%3E%3Cbr%3E%3Ctable%20width=600%3EError%20is:%20cvc-elt.1:%20Cannot%20find%20the%20declaration%20of%20element%20%27html%27.%20%28at%20line%202,%20column%2044%29%3C/table%3E%3C/html%3E,INFO:%20GET%20http://api.openstreetmap.fr/api/0.6/user/details">http://josm.openstreetmap.de/wiki/Presets/BENELUX</a><br>
THEN you can load a file but it says:<br>
ERROR: <html>Unable to parse tagging preset source:
<a class="moz-txt-link-freetext" href="http://josm.openstreetmap.de/wiki/Presets/BENELUX">http://josm.openstreetmap.de/wiki/Presets/BENELUX</a>. Do you really
want to use it?<br><br><table width=600>Error

line 2, column 44)</table></html><br>
<br>
I never can find the preset in the configuration list because it's
name should start with Be...<br>
<br>
There are two problems.<br>
I let you continue the debugging.<br>
<br>
Cheers,<br>
