using canvec, osm and gps tracks downloaded from osm. Usually, when multiple
gps tracks where available, the tracks show that the geobase/canvec geometry was
the best. So, I thing that geobase/canvec gives us the best geometry frame to
built on. The data is structured (snap at intersections) and its accuracy is
usually good. Why don't we just add the existing osm information to it? <o:p></o:p></span></font></p>

geobase/canvec. Street/Road name for many provinces, pedestrian/cycle/bus…
paths, and more. Why don't we just add it to geobase/canvec geometry when it’s
available? Furthermore, because we work in community, the osm map is updated
on a daily basis (contrary to geobase wish is usually 6-18 month and up to 5
years in <st1:State w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Quebec</st1:place></st1:State>).
That is something no government agency could afford!<o:p></o:p></span></font></p>
