In looking over some areas in the Hamilton ON area I am finding a disturbing number of missing ways recently. Sometimes the way appears in a different zoom level but other times no zoom level shows the way. At times there is now a POI, with no description or value, at a point that was part of the way. I have even looked for the past history of the area and cannot find anyone to have erased the way either.

Most likely thats because RoadMatcher didn't pick it up. You are welcome to view the full GeoBaseNRN.osm file and be tracing over in the area your working on to make it correct, or copy paste those missing ways.

Because the data might be rather old, and Hamilton might have been built up in the mean time, its probably best to be tracing or copying whatever you know to be true.

I was even looking with Potlatch and looked for their "UnDelete", "U", for the area and nothing shows up for the way either.

I wouldn't use potlatch for this kind of editing, it's not possabe to open up an ,osm file and work with it. That's what JOSM is for :) ... but that's just me. Potlatch is great for quick edits.

Here York Road appears intermitently depending on the zoom level you are using.

Mapnik / OSMrender / and cyclemap are not the complete OSM map, when using JOSM you can see everying :) ... it takes a while for those trusty servers to render every zoom level all over the planet :-)
