Hi everyone, Sam,<br><br>Sam, I think that idea is great, although I admit I am completely biased as I live in Ottawa. I will also forward this on to the OSGeo chapter's mailing list and see if I can get any support there. Rooms may be possible at a few locations, depending on the number of people that show up. <br>

Hi everyone,<br><br>I decided that it's time for a SOTM for Canada, considering the great progress of everyone over the past year.<br>Whats neat about this one, is that we can set it up so that people can attend remotely. (considering it's so far for people to get to, it's not possible for the whole talk-ca list to get together. (the remote attendence would be higher than the actual attendence)<br>
<br>We have AWESOME 'power users' who are located across Canada (and all over the world, actually), and would be great to get everyone together for a SOTM.<br><br>Since I'm planning on being in Ottawa for that time (since the Trans Canada Trail AGM is around that day). I'm not sure for how long, but i think that might work. So it could still be the Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday thing.<br>
<br>If someone else is good at planning, feel free to jump in. (As i don't really need to host it). I invited a few of you already on Google Calendar. So if someone wants to make a wiki page for it, and incorporate other things. Since i haven't been to SOTM before (i don't know what it's like). <br>
... so anyway, i think we can line-up a bunch of speakers for it (remotely too). <br><br>Does anyone know if there is a conference room at the local library (like there is here in Victoria)?<br><br>Cheers,<br>Sam Vekemans<br>
