Once you are on the server, you can type<br>/join #osm-ca<br>to join the channel.<br>There's not really an account managing system that you have to sign up with. OFTC does have nickserv support, but it's optional (I think).<br>

Do you have an idiot guide on how to do this?  I've picked up Pidgin<br>
so I assume its just a matter of getting an account somewhere?  The<br>
Canvec OSM data looks extremely good.<br>
