<p dir="ltr">There's been at least 20 captures of the area by satellites in the past 3 days, but what use are they going to be at this stage of the fire? </p>
<p dir="ltr">Also, what are we going to try to achieve once the fires are done? The roads are already there and Canada/Alberta have advanced spatial capabilities and detailed data for official purposes, so the work would basically entail deleting burned down buildings.</p>
<p dir="ltr">I'm willing to help out, just not clear what the goal with regards to data is going to be. :)</p>

<p>Global has some satellite images images after the fire attributed to Google / Terra Bella (ex-Skybox).  I believe they have in the past allowed imaging for open use before (Skybox For Good program) so may be able to do so here.</p>

You might get some help from UrtheCast, as a Canadian company they might<br>
be willing to donate access to footage.<br>

Not sure that they can provide geo-referenced shots, but any info might be<br>
of use. Their cameras are fixed on ISS, so any orbital software/website<br>
