I mostly map in the Calgary area, and manually add addresses one by one.
I find this is particularly important where buildings may have multiple
addresses, i.e. where an overall complex is composed of multiple
buildings with multiple units, or where a unit or business's address may
not be the same as the building it lies within.
<div><br></div>
<div>For example this building (<a
href="https://www.openstreetmap.org/way/213878776#map=19/51.04573/-114.07918"
moz-do-not-send="true">https://www.openstreetmap.org/way/213878776#map=19/51.04573/-114.07918</a>)
with an overall address of 805 - 8 Ave SW has a bagel shop in it (<a
href="https://www.openstreetmap.org/node/10239097762#map=19/51.04570/-114.07902"
moz-do-not-send="true">https://www.openstreetmap.org/node/10239097762#map=19/51.04570/-114.07902</a>)
with the address 809 - 7 Street SW. Having address interpolations along
7 Street is kind of pointless and silly, as the only addresses along
that side of the street are contained within that one building anyway.<div><br></div><div>Generally
in Calgary address interpolations aren't typically on the map in the
first place, but where I have seen them, e.g. in the hamlet of Bragg
Creek (<a href="https://www.openstreetmap.org/#map=15/50.9514/-114.5631"
moz-do-not-send="true">https://www.openstreetmap.org/#map=15/50.9514/-114.5631</a>),
I have deleted the interpolations as I've added the buildings to the
map. (And in the case of Bragg Creek, many if not most of the
interpolated addresses were incorrect to begin with; either backwards or
on the wrong side of the road.)</div><div><br></div><div>If the
accuracy of the Bragg Creek interpolations is representative of Canvec
interpolations overall, I would suggest we don't keep them...</div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div><br>On
