Hi everyone

This is the response I sent to Councillor McKay

Regards

Brian

Dear Councillor McKay

Many thanks for your
investigation and prompt repsonse. As the data still seems to be
provisional we are happy to wait for the finalised data in OpenData
format. We shall liaise with Will Martin on this. You response does
however raise a couple of issues:

1. The existing published data, even if provisional, does
not need the Crown Copyright statement as you have ascertained that is
using an Ordnance Survey OpenData base layer. If this data is still
available publicly then that statement should be removed and replaced
with an explicit OGLv2 licence statement

2. It seem clear that despite having a commendable
OpenData policy there are sections of the Council's operations that need
an internal awareness campaign and a set of processes to ensure data is
published as OpenData accoring to your policy.
