Hello folks.
Just posting the idea here for comments. If it's acceptable to people
I'll see about sorting a definate date for something to happen.
I work at the Clwyd Special Riding Centre in the village of
Llanfynydd[1], North Wales.
We have some holiday accommodation here that is used regularly during
the summer and is often empty during the winter, apart from some the
occasional conference or group of ramblers (there's two coming next
month that I'm going to try and get to record logs for me).
Around here there's plenty of unspoilt countryside as well as several
places of historical interest. There's also a country park nearby and
several fly fishing lakes, among other things. Of course there's the all
important pub (although whether it has free wifi, or even any wifi, is
another matter).
This would be aimed at ramblers, mainly, although there are the almost
totally unmapped towns of Wrexham and Mold nearby as well as several
villages if you have the transport to get to them.
Unfortunately there is a small cost for the accommodation of £10 per
night but it is pretty good and well looked after.
The main bulk of the riding holidays is around April-October so it'd
have to be towards the end of the year now, I think. However, sometimes
a group will cancel without leaving enough notice for another group to
take their place so if a short notice period is acceptable it could
happen in the summer. Mind you, if we have weather like we've been
having a winter mapping party won't be too bad. :)
Any comments?
Cheers,
Tom
