I would certainly be interesting to see what they say.

The problem they will have is that we are asking them to release it  
CCBYSA which would negate all their rights to it in future - as such I  
think they will say 'no'.

I do have to agree with Dave though, that we do probably have to ask.  
Anyone fancy doing that?
