The most authoritative document is the Special Road order, which indeed
calls it the A604(M). None of this is reflected on the ground however.
I'd suggest tagging it northbound as A1(M) and southbound as A14 as
that would more accurately reflect what is signed.<br>

The A14(M)/A604(M) designation is not used on the ground; when heading
from the A14 spur onto the A1(M) heading north there a 'motorway' sign
just past the B1043 exit without any number of on (see photo in the top

however when heading south along the A1 it is signed as 'A14'.<sup

showing references that are not provided on the roadside signs. There
are also arguments for tagging it in any of the other ways that are

what should be in it, and should we add a note with a link to the
Wikipedia article or the the OSM wiki?</span></span></font></div>
