Well, why not? I also find that whatever words one picks to describe <br>
something in obvious terms to others is quite likely the one to go with. So,<br>

barrier=entrance_arch<br>

or just<br>
<br>
barrier=arch<br>
<br>
as it may fit more use cases.<br>

Pedantically not a barrier perhaps - though height and width are a <br>
factor for some modes of transport. But then neither are gates that are <br>
usually open.<br>
